Every few years the number of children affected by autism rises. The experts and the media maintain they have no answer except they maintain it is not vaccine related.Anne Dachel who has an autistic son maintains otherwise. She presents information and anecdotal evidence from parents who saw a very healthy, highly functioning child get very ill and regress into autism within days and weeks of receiving a vaccine.I highly recommend this book as it is well written and displays the author's honesty and integrity. She is willing to look at a difficult situation and write about what she observes. This is journalism at its best and as it should be.As she herself says journalism today is not investigative but advocacy journalism where the slant or direction is determined at the beginning. This means that any point of view or piece of information that would oppose or refute the predetermined outcome is not allowed. This is actually self censorship.To my mind this is extremely troubling and concerning because we as a nation and as individuals cannot solve a problem, any problem, unless we are able to look at all the facts and use our best efforts to find a solution.In conclusion I highly recommend this book and hope it will encourage honest discussion leading to a workable solution.9 of 10 people found the following review helpful.WAKE UPBy God Bless the USAJust finish this book and am glad I read it. It tells us why and how it happened that the media has a gag order on vaccine injury. The fact that vaccines and their neurotoxic components cause brain damage is hidden in plain sight. There are so many books but they all say the same, the "safe and effective" MANTRA, that it is a BIG FAT LIE. Except those written by people who profit of course, like Paul Offit. And that parents who say vaccines cause autism are vilified.
